5I'm a little late posting about my Wednesday meeting, but I've been having such a good time with my holiday style posts, I couldn't resist!
This week's topic was being flexible...which stemmed from the fact that
Weight Watchers is tweaking their Points Plus program. For loyal WW members, this is the
second change in about a year, so people are a little stressed out about it. Since I'm just getting back into the swing of things with Points Plus, I'm not going to let it cause me too much stress just yet. I haven't had a chance to go in to e-tools today, but the changes should be there already and will be in meeting rooms on the 4th.
Flexibility. The thought of it around food scares me a little bit. If I could handle flexibility, I wouldn't be going to a weekly meeting and following a program, would I? That's a bit simplistic, as one of the reasons I chose WW was because the flexibility of the program made it livable for a lifetime, but too much freedom could be a bad thing.
On the same note, it was a topic I probably needed to hear. I lost .2 lbs this week, which is good and in the right direction, but disappointed me nonetheless after two weeks of 2+ lb. losses. I noticed that some bad habits are coming back, like focusing on weight and numbers, and being very rigid and then overdoing it. I thought these were kicked and was surprised at how easily they crept back in without me noticing. Awareness is the first step, but I have to now decide what action to take, and I think it's going to require some support and definitely some flexibility.
Congrats to my bestie who just hit her 5% goal this week. WOOHOO! I am so proud of you and I know you can do it...you are my inspiration!
